Final Pokémon Solid 2
Section 7
Mothra Man was flying at 1000 feet, all the Agents were out cold (lack of oxygen and/or SOME Agent singing...). All except one. Agent Dark (So what if he was beaten and bruised? So what if his ear bled like a fountain?) was still conscious. In fact, he was in such bad shape that he was hallucinating (or so he thought).
There was an odd figure twirling around his head (about the size of half you thumb, with translucent skin and hair, young, female and....nude (no it's not what you might think ^-^;;;;). With every passing, the figure was saying "Don't worry. We watch over you."
After a while, the small girl landed on Dark's shoulder and whispered in his ear "The ride is over. We're leaving now." Agent Dark didn't hear well (with ears bleeding) and the only thing he was able to reply was a real loud "WHAT!?". Before he could react, a tornado came from nowhere and grab him from the claws of the Mothra Man. He saw a last glance of Agent Axer and Artemis still in the Mothra Man's claws.
"Crap, my very first assignment and I screw up big."
"crap."
"crap."
"Crap."
"Crap."
"CRap."
"CRap."
"CRAp."
"CRAp."
"CRAP."
"CRAP."
The tornado abruptly vanished and Dark started falling.
* * *
Agent Aya was following a trail. A trail of signs, in fact (sorta like "Pentagon Evil HQ that way <--") She reached a sign reading "Pentagon Evil HQ. To access, stay on the X". Aya did so.
* * *
Dark was falling and falling. He was going to touch the ground any minute now and there was going to be Dark Koolaid for miles. He braced for impact.
* * *
Agent Aya suddenly looked up at the sky only to see it filled with a falling Agent. The words, "I HATE MY LIFE!!!!" were heard.
* * *
"Phew! Without this mattress, I would've been killed!" said Agent Dark as he stood up.
"What the?" His eyes laid upon a sign. "Pentagon Evil HQ. To access, stay on the X." Seeing no Pentagon HQ and no X, he chose a direction at random and started walking.
The heat was unbearable, yet Agent Dark was still walking in the eternal redness of the Cosmo Canyon desert. He was walking for a good five minutes. Annoyed only by the uninteruptted twirling of the small elf around his head (Her name is Sylphis, or so she says).
"STOP DOING THAT...YOU'RE MAKING ME SICK!" Agent Dark yelled.
As if shocked by Agent Dark's violent shouting, Sylphis shuddered and landed on the Agent's left shoulder. "Sorry," she said, "But I gotta look after you."
"You can do that without spinning like crazy around my head," was the reply. "By the way who is this guy who asked you to look after me?"
"All in good time will I tell.... my Master is looking forward to seeing you..." the little elf said as she jumped from the Agent's shoulder and landed on the ground.
They were near Cosmo Canyon (in fact, next to the back entrance known as the Gi cave)when Agent Dark started to have the bizzare impression that they were being watched by something. Suddenly a mysteriously black cloaked man appeared behind the duo. Agent Dark promptly reached for his sword and spoke. "Hello, mysteriously black cloaked man...What nonsense are you gonna tell me today?"
"Agent Dark, it's been a long time...I've been watching you...seen you fight (although you never killed anything) and I think it's time to tell you the truth..."
"Oh, I'm SO relieved."
"Hum..well, YOU are a descendant of the Secret of Mana shaman."
"Say that again?"
"You can use Elemental magic."
"Cool! How do I....?"
"Well, first, you have to get some spirits, then you get the Amazing Element Pebble that will permit you to use defensive and offensive spells. Now you can only use defensive. It's in the Gi Cave."
"........"
"Hum.."
With these words, the black cloaked man turned around and started to fade away. Remembering something, he turned around and said, "Almost forgot." Two small figures dropped down on the ground in front of him. "Well Sylphis, Undine, and Salamando, he's your Master now. Serve him well."
The cloaked man vanished.
* * *
It was a dark night... well, more like a cave interior.
Agent Dark dodged yet another restless Gi warrior and signaled to Sylphis...a perfecly executed balloon ballooned the ghost.
"Yeesh, this is getting boring," complained the little Elf.
"Speak for yourself, it's not your energy that's used," replyed Agent Dark, dodging another blow. This time, Salamando was the one to act; a wave of lava burned the ghost to oblivion.
They had made some progress in the Cave in search of the Amazing Elemental Pebble. Dark was getting tired; after all it WAS his energy used for all these spells. The sprites were only channeling it.
"At least the mysterious cloaked man was right. I don't need any weapons," thought Agent Dark. "In fact, I don't remember using my sword once in this crazy adventure."
But all that was about to change.
* * *
The mysterously cloaked man was waiting at the entrance of the cave, apparently lost in thought. Yes, an intense dialogue was taking place.
* * *
Agent Dark and his 3 spirit friends reached the apparent end of the cave. They were in a big room with a pedestal on which rested a small pebble.
In the back of the room was a metal door and next to the pedestal was a young woman. About 20 or 25 years of age, she was apparently meditating yet her face was running through all possible emotions. Dark slowly tried to reach the pedestal without waking the woman. As he reached for the pebble, a strong hand grabbed his arm! He screamed like a frightened young girl and backed away to the wall.
The woman got up and stretched like a cat before looking at Dark. Now he could detail her better: white hair (almost blond), a pretty face but with two long red lines forming a "V" shape on her forehead.
"Hi," she said, "My name is Malleur."
"Um....hi..I'm Agent Dark......could you tell me who or what you are?"
"Demon. First class. Type one unlimited.. and I have to kill you."
"Oh."
That said, Malleur started levitating. A shield formed around her and a volley of fireballs melted the rock where Dark was standing a second ago. The response was instantaneous hundreds and hundreds of gems of every kind shattering upon Malleur's shield. Gnome was very disappointed to see that Malleur was still there laughing. He was about to try again when he realized something. "Dark, you're out of MP!" Gnome shouted.
Dark was feeling very bad. He was sleepy and some of the gem shards of his spell had managed to scrape his hands, face and hair. when he heard Gnome shouting, Dark's hand went directly to his sword stealth, drew it and placed the blade at his eye level.
Malleur was rolling herself on the floor, laughing. Dark's jaws dropped to the floor.
His Katana...the...blade...was reversed. Suddenly he leapt into first person perspective story telling mode.
I was feeling terrible, when Sylphis had warned me of my lack of magic power. I understood that the sprites could not help me...I was in for it deeply.
Automatically my hand reached for my sword, the one that was given to me by the moron that was always following me around, my eyes never losing the opponent. I drew the sword from it's stealth as swiftly as I could manage and brought the blade at the level of my eyes. To my surprise, the demon started laughing, not a comforting laugh but an evil, twisted one. She was rolling herself on the floor. It took me a moment to understand why she was laughing. As I looked at my sword, I realized that my blade....NO! Where the blade should be, there was a blunt edge and a blade were the blunt should be.
"Darn!" I muttered to myself, "A sakaba. Of all the types of Japanese weapons I have to get a sakaba!"
Malleur calmed herself a bit. "You're really gonna fight me with that?" she asked.
"Errm," I nervously replied and I did the only thing I could think of. I ran for the door only to smack against another force field.
I was trapped.
Fear washed over me but only for a brief moment. Then I realized my situation. I was alone against a demon that could use force fields with only a sakaba for a weapon....I realized now that I was going to die...I was a coward, that I knew. Strangely, I was not afraid to die here. I was more concerned about not finishing my assignment: to protect Agent Artemis. I realize at that point that I was a fool insted of running like a moron. I should have ran after my friends. But this was no time for regret. It was a time for anger, anger against me, my fate, my life, my opponent. I took my best fighting stance and faced Malleur. The Demon invited me with a gesture.
For the first and last time of his life, Agent Dark summoned his first level limit break.
I was never able to use limit breaks, even at the AgenT Garden. I didn't understand the manual for the simplest of them, but as I breathed, the barrier of sound sword raised forgetting that a sakaba cannot cut, breaking my arm, Malleur's shield and striking Malleur herself I realize what I've been missing: anger is the essence of a limit break.
There was red aura, a sonic boom, a blinding flash, a sound of glass being broken, several cracks and the two opponents were facing each other. Dark's right arm was broken in several places, his sword was resting a few feet from his on the ground. Malleur was not in better shape. Her left shoulder was broken and her shield had shattered, yet she had won. Dark was not able to use his sword and demons didn't need both hands to cast spells.
Dark just stood there. He forced himself to ignore the pain in his arm. He looked at the group of sprites looking at him, all powerless. He forced a smile toward them and turned his attention back to the demon. She was casting and the fireball in her hand was big.
"Give my regard to Kami-sama," she said simply and released the ball of flame.
Blood boiled, flesh turned to vapour and Agent Dark was relieved of his life.

"Psst! Artemis!" a voice whispered through the metal door.
Agent Artemis looked up from her bunk in the direction of the door. She had recently awoken to find herself captive here, alone, and the last thing she remembered was being seized by the giant Mothra Man.
"Who's there?" the Agent returned.
"It's Aya," the door clicked and opened, revealing said Agent, "I'm here to break you out."
"They got Axer somewhere," Agent Artemis whispered as they rushed down the dingey hallway, "We've got to find him."
"One thing at a time," the luckless agent cautioned. The two agents hurried to the end of the corridor and stopped before a vending machine. "Do you have any quarters?" Aya asked, "I haven't eaten anything today," she rubbed her stomach, "And it's been one of those weeks."
Artemis looked at the other agent in horror, then slowly turned and looked upon the deadly candy machine, "You can't be serious. Do you have ANY idea of the chemicals they put in those things?" Her tone was dire and alarming, "Monosodium glucate, for one." Aya scratched her head an pouted. It didn't seem like Agent Artemis was going to give her any quarters.
"Trichlorinate monosythium, for another," Agent Artemis continued. The careful spy continued to list chemical additive after chemical addititive, with no end in sight.
While she lectured, Aya rolled her eyes and wandered over to a nearby raised religious altar, no doubt constructed to worship Jenova and waited for Artemis to finish. Aya nodded, pretending to listen, but was starting to become hungrier. It was then that her CODEC PHS rang. Slowly, still nodding at Artemis' words, she took it out and answered. "Hello?"
"Look above you, comrade," a low Russian voice rumbled.
Artemis noticed Aya slowly lower her phone, look her in the eyes, and smile. The brainy agent stopped listing chemical ingredients as a wave of trepedation overcame her. Something caught Artemis' eye high above her. She looked up and recognized the shape. It was Agent 'the Captain', but it wasn't somehow. For some reason, the former Agent wore a long black cape, and was falling towards Aya holding a really long sword.
Before Artemis could utter any warning, the giant blade of the sword neatly cleaved through Aya's mid-section. Aya's face was expressionless. Her head dropped lifelessly, a shiny hairpin fell out of her short blonde hair. The hairpin gently bounced down the steps of the altar before dropping into the sacred frog pond below.
Agent Artemis recoiled in horror. Her wide eyes followed the blade of the long sword as it was neatly pulled out of Aya's back and rested on the face of her former compatriate. Trainer Captain simply smiled. It was an evil smile that sent chills up and down her spine.
"Now," he finally spoke, "De Moth Men are vree doo dake dis vorld, comrade. Ja?"
"Quiet," Artemis growled, "Aya is gone." The villainous pokemon trainer indignantly huffed.
"Aya will no longer talk, no longer laugh, cry......" Artemis continued, "or get angry......"
"Nyet," the fiend nodded. Artemis looked up at him, and prepared to fight.
"Ring! Ring! Ring!" was the sound that eminated from a bell as a boxing arena materialized between the two Agents.
They both had suddenly appeared in a fighting arena as they stood on opposite corners of the square area. On the outside part of the ring was another booth with two people within it, who were obviously the announcers of the event.
"So that's how they got the pipe out of the guys behind!" said announcer #1.
"Hoo hoo hoo! That's a pretty funny joke you said there!" announcer #2 commented.
"Uh oh, we're on" addressed announcer #1 to #2 as he looked at the camera and smiled, "Welcome ladies and gentlemen to our very first event in Celeberty Agent Death Match. I'm Nick Diamond."
"And I'm Johnny Gomez, tonight we have an exclusive one-on-one battle royal between the fighting fiend, Agent 'Trainer Captain', and the battling babe, Agent Artemis," said Johnny Gomez.
"That's right Johnny," said Nick, "and both these superbe Agents have marvelous skills in the arts of combat."
"They sure do, Nick. Agent 'trainer Captain' wields the awesome Rapier Wit which can deal out devastating quips to fell the mightiest opponents and has that limit break 'Rocket Town' which can literally bury an enemy with thousands upon thousands of email letters.
"Agent Artemis, on the other hand, holds the deadly sais she likes to call 'Dragons Teeth' that can be used with fatal precision and accuracy. She also has the limit breaks 'Artemis Reply' which can confuzzle an enemy with her philisophical babbling and the dreaded 'Vulcan Eye Poke'" Johnny stated as he read outloud from a piece of paper.
"They sure are two very good fighters but as we all know, in Celebrety Agent Death Match, only ONE Agent can leave the ring victorious," Nick said through the microphone.
"Now we will show you a video tape of the interviews between the two Agents before they stepped into the ring," announced Johnny as he popped a video tape into a VCR.
The screen fizzled for a few seconds but then it the picture was crystal clear which showed a very beautiful little girl with curly hair holding a mike.
"Hello, I'm Maria Balthasar from Xenogears," said Maria in a squeeky girlish voice,"and I'm right here with one of the fighters, Agent 'trainer Captain', doing an exclusing interview. Tell me Agent 'trainer Captain' how do you feel about fighting one of your own former friends?"
"Vell, you zee I have to fight her for the zake of Mother Russia. Plus she still hasn't payed me back zi dollar I lent her" Agent 'trainer Captain' answered in a heavy Russian accent.
The screen fizzled for a few seconds then Maria was shown again but this time in a different lockeroom.
"Now I'm with the other fighter, Agent Artemis, and will now do yet another exclusive interview. Tell me Agent Artemis, what're your feelings about today's match?" squeeked Maria as she pointed her mike at the Agent.
"Well, I don't know what to say really, except that I still won't give him that dollar back because he killed Agent Aya!" exclaimed Agent Artemis as she screamed through the mike.
"There you have it folks, I have finished my interview with these two skilled fighters. What is this battle about? Is it about avenging the death of an Agent who seems to get ressurected everytime? Or is it a petty squabbling over money? Doesn't matter to me because I'm going because I want my mommy!" Maria Balthasar said as her segment of the show ended.
The screen had static running through it as the two announcers slept soundly with a small dribble of drool running down their cheeks. A stick had appeared from out of nowhere and gave a quick jab to both of the announcers who abruptly woke up.
"Wow, that was sure entertaining wasn't it?" asked Nick as he wiped some drool off his face.
"Yeah, it kept me awake the whole entire time" answered Johnny as he yawned and stretched like a sleepy cat.
"Let's go to the ring side now and watch the match which is about to begin," Nick Diamond said as the camera swivled around to face the ring.
In the arena, Agent Artemis was hopping on one side of the corner, and on the other side Agent 'trainer Captain' was pounding his fist together. Then a referee wearing a priest outfit walked into the middle of the ring and gestured towards the fighters to approach him. They did so and as they walked towards the ref, he took out the holy bible of Jenova and began to read it's contents.
"Do you, Agent 'trainer Captain', wish to fight Agent Artemis, to hit and to punch, to kick and to bite, 'till death do you part?" asked the Jenova priest/ref.
"Za" answered Agent 'trainer Captain' menacingly.
"Do you, Agent Artemis, wish to pummle Agent 'trainer Captain', to hit and to punch, through the kicking and the biting, 'till death do you part?" the Jenova priest/ref asked.
"Oh....heck yeah," Agent Artemis answered as she flipped sais in a magnificent fashion.
"In the name of Jenova I pronounce that this match will begin! Let's get it on!" the priest/ref said as he swung his arm in a dramatic fashion.
Agent Artemis was the first to take the initiative as she leaped towards Agent 'trainer Captain'. He was easily able to dodge the attack as he immidietly countered by swinging his blade which was parried by one of Agent Artemis' sais. Agent Artemis pushed forward which sent Agent 'trainer Captain' falling backwards and then quickly advanced towards him. The female Agent raised her weapons high in the air and tried to impale Agent 'trainer Captain' but he rolled out of the way and smashed his contacts on the floor which he used as a weapon.
"You want a piece of ME????" shouted Agent 'trainer Captain' as he waved his broken contact lens as a weapon.
"Sorry, but I don't resort into cannibalism," Agent Artemis shuddered as she remembered the Soylent System from Xenogears.
Using this as a slight diversion, Agent 'trainer Captain' activated his limit break. A dark swirling cloud appeared above the head of Agent Artemis as she continued to shudder about the Soylent System. Then a dark inter-dimensional ring formed from the dark clouds as something white dropped from it. The female Agent let out a yelp of surprise as she was showered by thousands upon thousands of letters which literally covered her. At that instant, Agent 'trainer Captain' took out a glass vile with the initials EP written on it.
"Now's my chance to use it...." said Agent 'trainer Captain' as he readied himself to throw the vial.
Agent Artemis clawed and ripped her way out of the pile of letters as she popped her head from the pile. This was the perfect opportunity for Agent 'trainer Captain' as he threw the hair dye vial and was splashed all over Agent Artemis' hair. The Agent pulled her hand from the pile and ran it through her hair and looked at the color of the dye.
"Egyptian Plum......You....dyed my hair...with Egyptian Plum?!" shrieked Agent Artemis as she started to grow violently red.
"Uh-oh, looks like she's having a limit break of her own!" said Nick.
"You said it Nick, and by the looks of it, this looks like the same limit break that she used on Metal Gear Weltall in Final Pokémon Solid," stated Johnny Gomez.
"I feel so sorry for Agent 'trainer Captain' right now," Nick said sadly as he shook his head.
Agent Artemis jumped out of the pile like a rocket and zoomed towards the air. Agent 'trainer Captain' looked up and was surprised to see that the female Agent was dive bombing towards him like an eagle.
"NOBODY DYES MY HAIR AND GETS AWAY WITH IT!!!!" shrieked Agent Artemis as she landed dexterously on her feet and faced Agent 'trainer Captain'.
She sent first a punch to the lower jaw, then a kick to the side of the face, then an elbow smash to his chest. A strange glow emitted from Agent Artemis as she activated her 'Super Arts' move. She then did a backflip which hit the other Agent in the face and landed back on her feet. Then she did a mid-air spin kick which sent the other Agent sprawling backwards. Then Agent Artemis jumped into the air and karate chopped his neck and then kicked him in the stomach before landing on her feet. Then she leaped into the air again and did a bicycle kick three times which pushed Agent 'trainer Captain' back a bit. Then her final attack was commenced as she balanced on one leg and used the other to kick his face three times in a row, did yet another backflip attack, then ended with an uppercut to the jaw. The male Agent had fallen to the ground, unconcious, as birds were circling around his head.
"Hmph, nobody dyes my hair and get's away with it," said Agent Artemis as she ran her fingers through her hair.
"The winner of tonight's match! Agent Artemis!" exclaimed both the announcers at the same time.
With that the battle arena that mysteriously appeared out of nowhere had completely vanished.
Agent Artemis was now back at the Altar of the Pentagon hideout and saw that Agent 'the Captain' had disappeared as well.
"I have no time to lose, better find Agent Axer quick," Agent Artemis said to herself as she stealthly ran through the corridors of the Pentagon hideout.
* * *
Meanwhile, back in the Pentagon's hideout Agent Artemis was still searching through the endless corridors for Agent Axer. Agent Artemis let out a heavy sigh of irritation as she thought that her search would be in vain.
"I'll never find him at this rate," muttered Agent Artemis to herself as she entered her 7156th hallway, "He's probably dead by now...."
Agent Artemis suddenly stopped in her tracks and then began to scan the area. She listened very carefully to a faint song she heard followed by an electrical zap and then more songs. Instinctivly, she followed the direction of where the singing and the zapping was comming from until she reached a large metallic doorway reading 'Torture Room'. She pressed the 'open', button conveniently located on the control panel next to the large door, which caused it to reveal the room within.
"What in the name of Bahamut...." whispered Agent Artemis to herself as she entered the room an watched the grim spectacle unfold unto her.
She watched in abject horror yet with extreme perplexity as she stared at the oddity before her. Only a few feet in front of where she stood was Agent Axer who seemed to be singing and dancing some 20's songs. After a few minutes the machine, that stood in front of Agent Axer, would release a purple ray and force him to play yet another song from the 20's. Strangly enough, Agent Axer had two large pink circles on each side of his cheek, a frozen smile etched on his face, and big bambi eyes which made him look like a giant, singing, and dancing doll.
"Guys and Dolls, nya nya nya nya nya Guys and Dolls! Nya nya nya nya nya nya...!" sang Agent Axer as he did a wierd dance number with his singing.
Agent Artemis couldn't help but chuckle loudly as she watched the other Agent helplessly humiliate and degrade himself by singing 'old school' music. She approached the DSX Dance Maker 3000 and examined it to see if she could find an off switch when it released yet another ray of purple energy. Agent Axer let out a yelp of surprise and his body jolted a bit as he began to sing his next song.
"Let's all go to the kitchen! Let's all go to the kitchen! Let's all go to the kitchen, to have ourselves a snack" Agent Axer sang as he did another wierd dance number.
Agent Artemis quickly figured out how to shut down the device as she pressed a few buttons on the keypad. The machine then stopped shooting the victim with it's diobolical dancing ray as Agent Axer stood still like a stone statue. The female Agent walked towards Agent Axer and gave him a quick shake to bring him back into reality.
"Za....what happened...?" asked Agent Axer as he returned back to normal and blinked several times as he gazed at his surroundings.
"You seem okay...." Agent Artemis said as she took out a tool doctors use and began to examine Agent Axer.
"What're you doing?" asked Agent Axer as Agent Artemis began to take his blood pressure.
"Just checking to see if you're all right...." answered Agent Artemis as she examined Agent Axer's retinas with a wierd device.
After a few minute routine doctor like check up Agent Artemis gave a quick nod of approval as she put her check-up equpiment in the hero inventory void which can store up an infinite amount of items. Agent Axer then walked towards the DSX Dance Maker 3000 and began to wheel it out of the torture room.
"What in the name of Bahamut are you doing??" asked Agent Artemis as she placed a hand on her hip.
"Relax," Agent Axer said,"I'm just gonna give these Pentagon guys a taste of their own medicine."
"You're gonna use the DSX Dance Maker 3000 as a WEAPON???" Agent Artemis asked quizically as she raised an eyebrow in a questioning manner.
"You guessed it....any problem with that?" Agent Axer asked as he wheeled the machine out of the room.
"Eh.....not really," Agent Artemis said as she let out a small chuckle and exited the room.
"What so funny?" Agent Axer asked as he continued to push the device.
"Nothing...nothing at all," answered Agent Artemis with a tint of sarcasm in her voice
She let out yet another chuckle as Agent Axer looked at her in a funny manner. Agent Axer shrugged his shoulders to himself as he continued to push the large device through the hallways and corridors of the Pentagon hideout. Agent Artemis was about to tell Agent Axer that he still had a rosy cheeks, a plastered smile, and Bambi eyes on his face but decided better of it.
Must be a side affect of the DSX Dance Maker 3000, Agent Artemis thought to herself as she let out a small cackle of glee.
