But not for long,

Tear the wings

And clutch disappointment

With child's hands,
But scars of man

Twist the wrench,
Dream of flight

And I can feel the stars in their eyes,
Hopeful children,

Take to the skies,
Fair weather ahead,
A fairweather friend

Percieve
Concieve
Believe
It's all a wisp of reverie.
A polished glider,
With gilded wings,

Make it real,

Let me feel.

And I can taste the rain on your lips,
Affinity's wings

Painful years,
Saline sorrows,
Laments for a life

Violet skies,
